I am in my third year of teaching at Ogallala Public Schools.  I teach Spanish (8th grade), Journalism, and two World Cultures exploratory classes.  I am a huge advocate for technology in the classroom. We can make the classroom experience so much more engaging with technology, and I am glad we've got this resource.  Teachers, let's use it!

I am in my fourth year of teaching, and my third year with Ogallala Public Schools. Currently I teach English 9, Reading, and am the Student Assistance Team director at Ogallala High School. I am pursuing a Master's Degree in English and Teaching from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. Professionally, I am a member of NCTE, and I serve on the advisory board for the Nebraska Writing Project. I have presented technology sessions at both the 2011 NETA conference and the 2011 National Writing Project Rural Sites Network Conference in Little Rock, Arkansas.

I've spent over a dozen years as IT Coordinator at the Ogallala Public Schools, making technology work as a seamless, indispensable part of the curriculum.  I strongly believe that our students must be taught to ask the difficult questions and devise the difficult answers.  A question that can be answered after a two-word Google search is NOT much of a question, people!
